I posted in the blog already, but I figured since this is where the real discussion happens, it'd be better to post here.
The other day Daisy posted a brief note about assistants, saying that: 1. You are not your assistant. 2. Your assistant will train your slave depending on how she feels about you, her preferences, and your goals that you have set for her. 3. Assistants are lazy.
I replied: I've always liked the idea that if your underlings gain enough love and respect for you, they'll be highly motivated and be able to do *almost* as good a job as you would.
I don't think that it's important to get anything put together this early, but once the game gets fleshed out, I think it would be cool if each assistant had their own background with its own quest that needs completing, and when you do, their gratefulness shows through in how well they work for you.
Guess I'd just like to know if any of that conflicts with what's already planned, what other people think, if anybody else has different ideas, etc.

Seems like a good idea to me.

Definitly one of my goals for the core assistants to have there only stories and each be unique. Just not a high priority at the moment.

an idea for assistants and can be used for the trainer as well. we give them a list of skills that determine how they act.
Loyalty- how loyal the assistant is. the higher the more likely they will follow orders.
Morality/Depravity- how moral the assistant is. the lower it is the more likely they are to do more depraved acts on the slave. (your assistant needs a low morality in order to do certain trainings such as farm pets)
Compassion- how compassionate the assistant is. the lower this skill is the less the assistant cares about the feelings of the slaves.

Just for dealing with assistants training slaves, perhaps add an option to select which class she's training the slave in.

Ive noticed that the same 4 assistants you can choose from can also be bought at the guild hall. Why not add certain additional assistants that can ONLY be bought from the guild hall or earned through quests and without the option of starting with them.

There probably will be more later, but for now, I think the first 4 are just fine for what's available, I would like to see an option in the future to get Anaristia as an assistant via quest (probably should be related to having a Menace or her Prime counterpart, like the random encounter that's currently there). I was actually thinking of writing the dialogue for such a quest, but for now I'm busy job hunting IRL, so anyone should feel free to beat me to it.

I think I'd prefer to see her hireable, maybe after an enabling quest. She could work for (say) seven days for a ruinous fee, but performing two or three times as well as a normal assistant. You wouldn't hire her unless you had a rush job, or a skill that you weren't up to training in-house.
Either way: who would you have take over the auctions in her absence?

Yeah...I knew that would be the overall problem with my idea (the fact that Anaristia has to stay at the AB). Still, a guy can dream. Maybe as I'm drafting the quest I'll find a justification for it, can't leave Bubba to do it after all, he'd ruin all the slaves himself XP.

Going Along with the new lounge idea I posted. Is to make the 4 assistants available at the start only available there or maybe thru a quest later. I propose 12 unique hireable assistants from the guild. 4 of each gender each with there own specialties and flaws and ways of dealing with troublesome slaves (personality hints at what that might be). Specializations give onuses when training slaves in that area. some come with unlisted flaws like Alleyne will not have sex and will not train slaves to do so either these will be listed in character descriptions.
Males
Archer 400g per month Base Loyalty 20 Specializations Ranged Combat Duel Wield Espionage Personality Assertive and Instructive
Jariya 600g per month Base Loyalty 40 Specializations Summoning Magic Nyphoism Straight Sex Personality Perverted and Instructive
Greed 500g per month Base Loyalty 0 Specializations Money Management Underworld Connections Whorecraft Personality Cunning and Degrading
Unknown (would like a younger male here) Base Loyalty ?? Specializations ?? ?? ?? Personality ??
Females
Alleyne 500g per month Base Loyalty 30 Specializations Combat Morality Survival Personality Kind and Instructive
Tomoyo 400g per month Base Loyalty 30 Specializations Lesbian Sex S&M Obedience Personality Cruel and Sadistic
Yui (angel beats) 200g per month Base Loyalty 80 Specializations none (has to be trained she is new to the job and eager to learn) Personality Unsure and Kind
?? (another I haven't found a fit for) Base Loyalty ?? Specializations ?? ?? ?? Personality ??
Futanari
Louise 400g per month Base Loyalty 20 Specializations Futa Sex Magic Combat House Pet Personality Sadistic and Loving
Need Ideas for 3 more futa assistants. feel free to add ideas for the blanks.

The game is designed to allow for the creation of new assistants. The template for the assistant array creation is in the assistant.as and then see one of the assistant .fla for I think the one picture in it. right now not much there though.
