On the blog you were wondering if save files were a good idea.
To my mind, that depends on how much grind there's going to be in the game. I might find an hour of two daily to play games like this. If the game doesn't finish in that time, I need a save. (or to leave the computer running, but that's not always an option).
I know the POC is just a demo, but the impression I get is that there's going to be quite a bit of grind involved in the training process. Which is fine by me, but I think it means you'll need a save file.
As for hacked saves - why worry about it? It's not like you're planning to go multiplayer with this ... is it?
Anyway, just some thoughts. I'd have replied to the blog, but blogger never lets me leave comments for some reason...

Uhm to be honest, I don't even understand why you're thinking about this Daisy. Are you truly planning for a game that gets completed in one hour? If so, I really did not think so
I thought it would be a very long game....
