Quest Name: Raising Royalty Quest Requirements: None Quest Length: Medium/Long Quest Details: Basic Plot: Initial Quest trigger still undecided. Having a high reputation or completing several quests beforehand will likely end up being the trigger. Once triggered, an Emissary from Duke Fenquist will arrive, requesting the player visit the Duke at his manor to discuss a job offer. Player can accept the invitation, or deny. If denied, the encounter will repeat once a week until the player accepts. Quest acceptance can be negotiated with the Emissary, leading to monetary compensation or 1 of 2 sexual encounters (blowjob or sex). Player can accept the invitation, or deny. If denied, the encounter will repeat once a week until the player accepts. Quest acceptance can be negotiated with the Emissary, leading to monetary compensation or 1 of 2 sexual encounters (blowjob or sex). Meet Duke Fenquist. Discuss the reason for the invitation. The Duke explains the situation. He is impotent, and has no sons to continue his lineage, thereby creating a vacuum of power if he were to die. He tasks the player with seeking out an Alchemist in the Green to discuss the creation of 2 potions: An aphrodisiac to cure his impotency, and a fertility potion to ensure the birth of a son. He is not sure of the location of the Alchemist in the Green and suggests visiting Rena at the Greens Edge to find more info. After speaking with the Duke, you have the option to explore the Manor a bit to meet his daughters, and have a sexual encounter with his wife who is distraught since she's remained unsatisfied by her husband for so long. Player must travel to the Greens Edge to meet Rena. She doesn't have any pertinent info, however, when leaving your slave with the chain-gang she hears rumors and stories about the Alchemist in the Green and is told by one of the slaves to return at night. Return to the Greens Edge at night to discover the green has parted, creating a path deeper into the overgrowth. Fireflies guide the way through until you reach the Alchemists cabin. The cabin is clearly enchanted, as it looks terrible outside, but inside is luxurious and spacious. The player is greeted by a cat who beckons the player further inside. The cat turns into the Alchemist, a beautiful young woman wearing all black and the garb of a witch. You explain the situation, and she's willing to help but she is curious as to what she will be getting from the deal. You can offer gold, yourself (for sex), or a slave. She laughs at the offer for gold as she can create gold if she so chooses. She also mocks you for offering yourself, as she already plans to have her way with you since you gave her that right simply by entering her home. She agrees to a slave as payment, but requires a specific slave type: House Pet(Cat)/Faith Healer (for fortune telling). You agree to the terms, she gives you a list of the required ingredients, and then she has her way with you. She tells you to return when you have the items needed for the potions as well as the slave and she will craft them for you. Do so, return to her, get the potions then return to the Duke. He rewards you and the quest line is finished. Items for the potion will be a mix of slave created items, store bought items, and monster drops from combat. Something alone the lines of: Aphrodisiac Potion Whores Sweat - received after one of your slaves whores. Monster Drop from combat #1, ex. bat wing, serpents eye, demons breath Monster Drop from combat #2 ex. bat wing, serpents eye, demons breath Eros Brew - store bought 100g Fertility Potion: Cream from a milked Cow Girl - can't be bought, should probably be a special item you can obtain only from milking, not the standard cream you normally get. The Manor location will need to be created, as well as any branching areas within (such as the Main Gate to the Manor, his chambers (to seduce his wife), his daughters chambers, and the living area within the manor where you'll speak with the Duke). Class based item drops for the potions. Not set in stone, but something along the lines of the above, ex. Whore's Sweat, Special Cream. Monster item drops from combat will be needed to be added for the potion requirements. Icons will also be needed. Quest rewards for completing the quest line will also be needed. I'm undecided on what exactly these should be, but I was thinking some amount of Gold, a Coat of Arms (Armor/Shield/Weapon) with good combat stats, and I was thinking that perhaps the Duke could offer you the hand of one of his daughters in marriage (which could start another quest, since the daughter will be against the arranged marriage and you'll have to seduce her). Finally, I'm not sure how the reputation/renown system is going to work, but there could be some large reputation boost, or favor with the Senate when the quest is completed. --- I'm new to the boards, and still new to the game, but I've enjoyed what I've played so far and would really like to help out. Anyways, that's the general idea so far. I've fleshed out some of the dialog and more story, but I don't want to post it unless I'm sure this is something that could work (it's quite long, heh). I'm also a bit wordy when I write, so I'll definitely need some constructive criticism to trim it down if/when I post the full details. I'm digging the progress made so far with the game, and wish your team all the best in your endeavors! EDIT: Initial quest description edited to remove any reference to the King and his home. Changed to the Duke, and his manor.

Very solid quest. But lets can we go from the king to a noble. Other then that I like it.

Good to hear. I'll have to change around quite a bit of what I've already written to accommodate the change from King to nobleman, but that's fine as I already kind of assumed I'd be taking a chance with using a prominent figure such as the King. I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds, but would changing it to a Duke be ok?
Once I've worked through the initial changes, I'll post the first step of the quest that I've already written that deals with the initial Emissary encounter. From there I can take any feedback and adjust it to your liking, then move on to the next step - refining things as I go.
In all, I'm thinking these will be the steps I need to flesh out.
Emissary encounter
Visit with the Duke (in lieu of the King)
Head to the Green to meet Rena/Return to the Green at night to find the path through the Green
Meet the Alchemist
Gather the items and slave/Return to the Alchemist for the finished products
Return to the Duke
Quest complete.

I went ahead and finished up the first rewrite with the Duke instead of the King. Again, I'm willing to change anything that's needed. If having him as a Duke is cool, I'll just leave things as is, if not I'll rework the character again.
Again, it gets a bit wordy, and the sex scenes might be a bit too bloated, so please feel free to criticize portions you feel won't fit. So without further delay, Event 1: The Emissary. -----------

Essentially a fetch/creation quest where the player will acquire the items needed to create both an aphrodisiac potion and fertility potion, and then actually create it, to help the Duke Fenquist get his mojo back.
EVENT 1 - The Emissary ---
Setup: A few days into the game, an Emissary sent by a nobleman of the court (Duke Fenquist), will visit in the morning with an urgent request to seek an audience with the Duke.
Apparently, as the Duke has gotten on in the years, he no longer has the ability to satisfy his wife (he's impotent) and birthing only daughters he is worried that he does not have a worthy successor.
Quest Objective: Speak to the Emissary, and agree to visit the Duke.
--- Quest Dialog:
-The Morning the Emissary arrives-

(A-1c) (Primary Assistant): "Right this way, the Master will see you now."
Emissary: "Greetings, (Player Name). I carry with me an urgent request from the nobleman, Duke Fenquist, seeking your presence in a most personal matter. It seems your ties with Guild have drawn his interest, and the Duke feels that you would be worthy for a task he's prepared."
Choice A: "What exactly is the task that the Duke requires <i>my</i> services?" (leads to A-2a) Choice B: "Surely there is a more qualified member of his staff that could handle his request?" (leads to A-2b)
(A-2a) Emissary: "The details of said task have not been revealed to me, (Player Name). I am simply a messenger tasked with acquiring your services." (leads to B-1a)
(A-2b) Emissary: "While I'm sure any member in the Dukes' employ would leap at the chance to serve him, he wishes to keep the details of this undertaking private. Even I do not know his designs, only that I am to secure your presence - no matter the cost." (leads to B-1a)
(B-1a) Choice A: "I see. Well, I've never been one to refuse a royal invitation from an nobleman, let alone a Duke." (leads to B-2a) Choice B: "... And if I refuse?" (leads to B-2b)
(B-2a) Emissary: "Excellent! I will return to the manor and inform the Duke of your acceptance. Please make arrangements to visit when you can." *Quest objective completed*
You call for (Main Assistant), and moments later she enters the room, awaiting your orders. (leads to C-4d)
(B-2b) Emissary: "One does not simply refuse the requests of a nobleman. My orders were quite strict, and I am to ensure your compliance, no matter the cost."

(Player Dialog): "Before you go, however, I have but one more request."
The Emissary pauses, looking at you quizzically, wondering what more you could possibly want.
(Player Dialog): "I'd like to know your name, so that I may congratulate the Duke on his his decision to send such a loyal and alluring representative."
The Emissary lowers her eyes, hiding a smile.

It's going to require a much heavier rewrite since I'd initially placed it in the Castle with the King, but it shouldn't take too long to get through. I apologize if any of the above text looks off - I used notepad to write it, and the formatting was a bit off when I pasted it here.

I didn't know exactly how the quest triggers work, so I went with a placeholder of "a few days in..." as a trigger. I knew that the quests from "A Little Time Cafe" and "Cat's Paw Trading" had some back end identifiers that opened up their quests after achieving a certain amount of reputation, and I think something like that could work well in triggering this quest. For testing of the quest, perhaps leaving it as is might work better because the quest could turn out to be considerably long and having the Emissary trigger appear quickly could make it easier to get into to fool around with - changing it later, of course, when everything else is finalized.

Here's part 2. It has less variables with dialog choices, I think there's only 1, but it's just as wordy, if not more so, than part 1.
EVENT 2 - Meeting the Duke --- After finishing the Emissary/Shinkara encounter, you should have a Royal Invitation in your inventory.
To visit the Manor, one must simply spend a shift with a slave. Explore around Magmell/Visit the Manor. (New icon will be needed). ---
Upon arriving, you'll be greeted by 2 guards at the Manor gates.
Guard Dialog: "Halt! What business do you have here?"
(A-1) Choice A: "Sorry, I was just wandering around, I'll be on my way." (leads to A-1a) Choice B: "I have a Royal Invitation, I'm here to see the Duke." (leads to A-1b)
(A-1a) This is the default and only option if you do not have the Invitation. Guard Dialog: "I see. Well, best to be on your way if you have no business here. The Duke isn't in the business of entertaining common folk."
(A-1b) Guard Dialog: "Ahh, very well. Everything looks to be in order, please head on through. The Duke will see you now."
*Royal Invitation removed from inventory, and the Manor is unlocked from here on out - the guard encounter will no longer occur, you'll simply enter the Manor directly when you visit*
Leaving the guards behind, you enter into the main grounds of the Manor, your slave trailing happily behind you. Making your way up the drive to the Manor proper, you see servants, each tending to a large topiary, as the sound of water flowing from a fountain in the central courtyard fills the air. Hesitating a moment to take in all the beauty, you spur yourself further along as not to keep the Duke waiting.
Upon reaching the Manor's double doors, they abruptly open at the hands of a stiff faced butler who greets you with a forced smile. He issues a quick gesture of entrance and you follow him inside to the main foyer. As with the lawn, you can see the Duke's sizable wealth on display here with garish rugs covering the floor, marble sculptures atop ivory white pillars, and what must be a Kings ransom in gold framing countless paintings that cover the walls. Attentive guards stand at defense, pikes drawn, safeguarding the riches before you. Only a fool would dare test their mettle.
It takes only moments before the butler brings you to another set of double doors which he pushes aside to reveal the interior of the Duke's offices. The Duke sits before you on a large ornate chair, positioned behind a large wooden desk. Seated at his side are who you can only assume are the Duchess, and his two daughters. The butler turns to you, nods, bows before the Duke and quietly exits behind you, closing the doors as he leaves.
Duke Fenquist: "Welcome to my home, (Player Name). I was pleased to hear that you would be joining us."
Duke Fenquist: "A pressing matter has called you to my attention, and I apologize for not providing you more details with the invitation. I'm quite sure you're wondering why you're here, yes?"
You return a quick nod. The Duke turns to his daughters and asks them to escort your slave out for a short tour of the grounds while you discuss the business at hand. They both stand, the eldest scoffing as she does so, obviously annoyed at the request, while the younger happily obliges. Your slave moves to follow them as they exit the room.
Duke Fenquist: "Now then, the reason for your arrival: A matter most personal that I do not wish to spread beyond these walls as it's not only demeaning to my character, but could also be quite detrimental to my lineage. Hence all the secrecy."

When I finally pass on, my lands will be at the mercy of the court - squabbling and infighting will occur over who will acquire my wealth and territories. That is something I can not abide, and I hope you'll be able to help me in rectifying this situation."
Duke Fenquist: "(Player Name), I have need of your services in the pursuit of a cure. While I am no Alchemist, I am well read, and have knowledge of two elixirs which could aid me in curing my impotence and assuring me the birth of a son. The first is a powerful aphrodisiac for myself, said to cure any sexual affliction, and the second is an elixir of fertility for my wife which would ensure the birth of a son."
Duke Fenquist: "Unfortunately, that is the extent of my knowledge on the mystical brews, merely that they exist. I know it is unfair of me to ask this of you with so little information, but I do think I can start you on the path."
Duke Fenquist: "There is rumor of a powerful Alchemist, that dwells deep within the Green. The Alchemist is key in all this, having both the knowledge of ingredients and creation of these potions. While I'm not one to promote the fools errand of chasing rumors, I am at wits end with no other alternative."
Duke Fenquist: "I also do not expect you to perform this task gratis. You will be rewarded most handsomely, and will have my support in any of your future endeavors."
Duke Fenquist: "So this, I humbly ask of you dear (Player Name). A plea to secure my lineage. What say you?"
Taken aback by his tale, you're moved by the Duke's words and the Duchess's tears. The allure of rewards is also quite tempting. How often does a chance to have a Duke indebted to you come along? Making up your mind, there is only one course of action.
(Player Dialog): "I can appreciate the gravity of your situation. I agree to do your bidding."
Joyful laughter immediately fills the room as the Duke applauds your decision. You can see the Duchess choke back a laugh as tears stream down her face.
Duke Fenquist: "Wonderful!! Simply wonderful"
The Duke turns and embraces his wife and plants a wet kiss on her lips.
Roused by the cacophony of the Duke's cheers, the doors to the room burst open as several guards rush in. Seeing you standing before the Duke as he embraces his wife, they quickly deduce their is no danger and lower their weapons. The Duke pulls away from his wife, turning to you, a smile still brimming on his face.
Duke Fenquist: "My friend, you've made me a very happy man. I'll have my major-domo write up the agreement this evening and have Shinkara deliver the paperwork tomorrow morning."
After a while of idle conversation with the Duke, your slave and the Dukes two daughters return. Your slave is quite interested in hearing what transpired, but under orders from the Duke you remain tight lipped, leaving her with a dissatisfied look on her face. Still thanking you profusely as you leave, the Duke orders his butler to see you out, with the open invitation to return whenever you please.

You can return to the Manor and speak to the Duchess. Doing so will lead to a sexual encounter where you can seduce her and offer to relieve her tension (I've not developed this encounter yet and it will still need to be written). She agrees if only because it has been so long since she's been satisfied and it is her way to repay you for agreeing to the Duke's task. She asks that the encounter remain a secret, though, as she does not wish for her husband to know.
You can return to the Manor and speak to his daughters. For the most part, it'll be idle chit chat, with the eldest daughter (19-20 years old) acting very nonchalant and aloof to you. The other daughter is still very young (6-7 years old) and acts as such, perhaps inviting you to a tea party or inviting your slave to play with dolls. No seduction options with the eldest daughter at this point.

Just a quick note: "My boy. you've made me a very happy man." should be gender and age neutral since the player can be male, female, or futa and the age of the player is not specified either since they were pulled from the pit to begin with. I would suggest something like "my friend" or simply "thank you" if the previous one sounds too personal/presumptuous.

I've also finished up the event leading to the Alchemist but I'm really not too happy with the flow and general tone (it feels cheesy), so I'm debating scrapping what I have and doing a rewrite. Once I get things nailed down I'll submit what I have.

Finished up the visit to Rena. The encounter sets the stage for a later return to the Greens Edge to explore further, attempting to find the Alchemist within.
Quest Name: Raising Royalty Quest Requirements: None Quest Length: Medium\Long Quest Details:
EVENT 3a - Meeting Rena --- Shinkara arrives early the next morning to deliver the paperwork from the Duke. In all the excitement he'd forgotten to mention that you should seek out Rena for help in finding the Alchemist, as she oversees the workers at the Greens Edge and she might have more information. If anyone knows anything about the Green, it would probably be Rena.
(Main Assistant): "Master, Shinkara arrived early this morning before you awoke to deliver the paperwork from the Duke. She mentioned that in all the excitement, the Duke had forgotten to mention that you should seek out Rena at the Greens Edge. Rena oversees the slave workers at the Greens Edge, spending the better part of her days there, so he's confident that would be a wise place to start."

From doing the above, you'll end up at the edge of the Green, where Rena will greet you.

"Every day we work to remove the Green as it is constantly encroaching on us, but our efforts so far have been in vain. Most days we barely manage to keep the growth in check, let alone progress further in. It's a constant battle, but we've had some breakthroughs."
"That's the true reason we're even out here. Every time we make progress and remove more of the growth, we find something incredible. Relics, gold, jewels. You name it, and we've probably found it."
She continues along the edge explaining random facts about this and that, pausing now and again to point something out until finally ending the tour. When you thank her for the tour, she returns you to the line of shackled slaves, and wishes you a good day.

She shrugs her shoulders, promptly dismissing the conversation.
"Alright, then, I suppose a tour of the grounds is in order. Follow me. Guard, shackle that slave to the line."

Thanking her for her time, you return to your slave to plan out your next move, somewhat disappointed that Rena couldn't provide more information. Satisfied, Rena wanders off with her large axe to speak to the rest of the foremen managing the clearing of the green for this shift.
After retrieving your slave, she begins to speak of a conversation she had with one of the other slaves while you were taking the tour. It's a wild tale, embellished with magic and mystery, but there is mention of a powerful Witch living deep within the thicket that has the power to bend the Green to her will, luring slaves to enter the imposing growth. Any slave that ventured within, heeding her sirens call, was never to be heard from again.
Probing further, you ask how exactly these slaves manage to enter the Green, as the whole area is beset with the monstrous growth, lacking any visible entrances. She shrugs, saying she doesn't know for sure, but all of the disappearances seemed to occur at night, always prefaced by the Witches melancholy song echoing from deep within the Green.
Perhaps this Witch is the Alchemist you seek? It certainly isn't much to go on, but it does seem worth checking out and lacking any other leads, you decide to return during the evening hours. Waving to Rena as you part, you and your slave return home.

Hmm..this may just be me being nit picky but I think you should probably add a scenario for if you are on the quest but have already "met" Rana previously since going through two introductions to the Green is a bit odd.
For example, delete the first line where Rana introduces herself and change it to something like, "Oh, you're back again, we got a message from the Duke..." etc. and obviously another tour wouldn't be necessary since you'd already know your basic way around. Other than that it would be the same dialogue.
Actually you could probably move most of the If On Quest (1st Rana encounter) dialogue into the If Not On Quest (1st Rana encounter) section and then skip right to the story of the Green Witch (har...har...) if you are On Quest (2nd+ Rana encounter) and then otherwise the dialogue can just read the standard Work the Chain Gang dialogue.

Doesn't seem nit-picky at all. It's a valid concern, and it makes sense. I'll edit the above to account for:
if NOT on the quest - 1st visit to the Greens Edge
if on the quest - 1st visit to the Greens Edge
if on the quest - but have visited the Greens Edge before (only occurs once, then defaults to the standard return visits option)
standard return visits - this will be the default dialog when visiting the Greens Edge after you've exhausted each of the 3 situations above, or in the case of not having the quest, until you pick up the quest at which time it'll revert to the 3rd choice above then back to the standard return visit dialog.

Finally, there will be new dialog written for the night encounter at the Greens Edge which will lead to the Alchemist event. I don't have the game on atm so I don't know if there's even an option atm to explore the Greens Edge at night, but if there is I don't think Rena shows up. I'll check on that later. Anyways, I'll write that.
For return visits to the Alchemists cabin, I plan on having it be a night only event, with a direct trip to the cabin to avoid having to read some long slog of story again. It'll likely need a new button on the 'explore magmell' bar, and should only be available during the quest once the cabin has been found.
Some of it is already written, but I'm not happy with a large chunk of it so I'm in the process of rewriting stuff. Both the night encounter and cabin visits will be included in the next event dialog, so that's coming up soon.

Ok, this one is a beast. LOTS of choices, and I wouldn't surprised if I messed one of the linking identifiers up. The formatting also got messed up in my copy/paste, so I could have missed a couple of those fixes, too. If anyone reading sees something that looks off, please let me know. With so many branches to the dialog, it quickly became a real nightmare to track.
Also, I haven't written any sex dialog for this encounter yet. Looking back, I wrote some for the Emissary encounter but realize now in error, that I didn't include any lesbian or futa encounters. That said, it's now 3 times the work and I simply didn't have it in me to finish that up atm. I'll go back and try my hand at fixing the Emissary encounter, as well as adding in the proper scenes for the Alchemist event soon.

EVENT 3b - Find the Alchemist ---
To trigger the event, the player must be on the quest and have completed all previous prerequisite steps. To begin, the player must visit
the Greens Edge by spending a NIGHT shift with his/her slave. "Explore around Magmell/Explore the Greens Edge - CAUTION: Exploring after dark is not recommended, enter at your own risk!" (will likely need a new icon, and will definitely require new text on icon)
I believe I read that it's not currently possible to do the above actions without a slave, but I was wondering if it was possible to make the trip alone - leaving your slaves in your assistants care. I've written the following with the assumption that you drag your slave along, but I feel I can make it much tighter, and with less fluff if you could simply visit the site alone like you would the shops in town. If a change is implemented allowing such actions, I'll happily rewrite whatever necessary to accommodate the change.
From doing the above, you'll end up at the edge of the Green. ---
Upon arriving at the site, you're greeted with a cold loneliness. A cool wind softly blows, rustling leaves and stirring up debris as crickets chirp softly in the distance, filling the night with natures song. Fighting the cloying darkness with your lantern, you find it incredibly difficult to make out the entirety of the area.
Even though you stand in a wide open clearing, the feeling of claustrophobia gnaws at you as the darkness and mass of vegetation seems to close in around you. You wave your lantern about, revealing what you can of the immediate area. You're not surprised to see that which seemed quite tame only hours before was now cast in the shadow of night, warning you of the danger it truly held.
As fear slowly begins to creep into your body, you're reminded of the reason you are here and set about searching the area, wanting to end this as quickly as possible. You order your slave to stand near the road leading into the encampment to stand as a lookout, calling to you if she sees anything peculiar. In a shaken voice she replies that she will, her nerves clearly on edge as well.
You walk along the Greens edge, keeping your distance from the growth if only to avoid the unknown. You can make out a few landmarks that Rena pointed out to you earlier, giving you a bit more confidence in your surroundings as you make your way further along the edge. You look back to your slave, checking with quick glances every so often, to access her position.
Faintly, almost a whisper drowned in the cacophony of crickets, you begin to hear what appears to be singing. Softly at first, but slowly rising to surpass the mindless droning of the insects. Strangely, a quick glance back to your slave reveals no change. The song <i>sounds</i> loud enough that it should be heard at her distance, but her demeanor says otherwise. While you can't exactly make out the words within, the song seems to beckon you forward, calming you as it does so.
Heeding the voice, you mindlessly continue ahead, the crickets now completely silent as the song pours its melody into you. Up ahead of you, a small cloud of fireflies darts about at the edge of the Green. They slowly work their frenzied dance to the very edge of the Green where they begin to spread out, working into a man-sized formation of an arch. You lift your lantern higher to illuminate the display, amazed at what you see. The Green before you was twisting and writhing, working itself back into its' folds, parting enough to create an opening mirroring the arch the fireflies created. You can barely hear your slaves frantic shouting, as if it were a dream, before you step forward and enter the Green.
A few steps in, and you can barely make out a faded dirt path beneath your feet silently leading further into the Green. Ahead of you, the Green has parted as it did at the entrance, creating a tunnel with which you expect follows the path to its destination. As you start forward, you can hear the vines and tendrils of the Green snap back into their former sprawl, barring any exit you would hope to make. By the light of your lantern you pick up your pace and move deeper in.
Time seems to stand still as you weave your way down the path, thick brush mere inches from striking out at you. The song, still ringing in your head, reassures you that there is no danger. It feels like you've been walking for hours before you finally see a small clearing opening up ahead of you. Like the tunnel now behind you, the Green abides, giving enough space to accommodate an old house, nestled comfortably near the back of the clearing.
The house is surprisingly large. A three floor affair with several windows, all with curtains drawn, and an ornately carved front door bordering a long wooden porch. A small weather vane creaks loudly on the roof, announcing a cool breeze shortly before it caresses your face. You make your way to the double doors, as the song slowly dims once again to a soft whisper. As the song quietly departs, your mind begins to clear, shaking off the surreal daze you've been feeling.
Finally regaining your senses, you're startled to hear a latch being removed as the doors before you slowly open. Moving a hand to the weapon at your side, with trepidation you make your way inside.
Hundreds of candles illuminate the room, their candlelight dancing off the walls revealing a surprisingly beautiful home. You half expected to be greeted by a mad scientist with bubbling potions and lunacy-fueled experiments strewn about the room. Instead, you're met with a typical, if lavish, living room. A large room filling rug covers the floor, atop which sit several exquisite couches, while a large grand piano sits silently in the corner, all bathed in the soft candlelight.
On one of the couches in the middle of the room, an absolutely stunning woman casually rests, a black cat laying at her side. Dressed a long flowing black dress, her long dark hair flows casually down from under a black witches hat. She looks at you and smiles, softly petting the cat as she does so. Motioning you to join her, she waves at a couch across from her. Hand still on your weapon, you swallow the lump in your throat and slowly work your way over to the couch, sitting when you reach it.
Witch: "Come now, relax, I don't bite."
At this, The Witch reveals a toothy grin, doing little to calm your already frayed nerves. She continues on in a soft lilting voice.
Witch: "...Unless you want me to. Please, relax, there is no danger here."
The smile still drawn across her face as she lets out a sultry laugh. While not exactly comforted by her words, you loosen your grip on your weapon, realizing if she'd meant any harm, she could have easily done so long before now.
Witch: "There, there. Now that's better, isn't it?"
Witch: "So what did you think of my song? It's so rare for me to get visitors, and I do so love to hear their thoughts."
She moves to the edge of the couch, leaning forward, attentively awaiting your reply.
(A-1) Choice A: "It was enchanting. I felt compelled to follow it, if only to find the source of such beautiful singing." (leads to A-1a) Choice B: "I felt like I'd lost all control. It was very discomforting." (leads to A-1b) Choice C: "I don't appreciate being enthralled by your sorcery, Witch." (leads to C-1a)
(A-1a) Her face lights up, beaming with joy as you continue. Remarking how she is absolutely delighted that you enjoyed it, she thanks you for your flattery.
Witch: "Flattery is the quickest way to a womans heart, and I am no exception to the rule."
Still grinning, she giggles like a schoolgirl, playfully twisting a lock of hair through a finger.
Witch: "It's also the quickest way to get into this."
She slowly uncrosses her legs giving you a clear view up her dress to her panties beneath, while gently pulling her dress back to give you a better view. Erupting into laughter, she quickly pulls her dress back and crosses her legs, obviously enjoying teasing you.
Witch: "Now now, if you're lucky we'll get to that later." (leads to C-2a)
(A-1b) She looks somewhat disappointed in your answer, leaning back with a sigh. You reassure her that the song wasn't terrible, only that you couldn't fully appreciate it given your disposition at the time. (leads to C-2a)
(C-1a) Witch: "My my, such bad manners. A guest in my own home, no less. Such impertinence will need to be dealt with properly. Perhaps a spanking?"
She laughs harshly, all the while wagging a disapproving finger at you.
Witch: "Another outburst like that, and we'll sadly have to end our evening prematurely. A shame since I'm quite curious to see what you're capable of. Now, will you behave?"
Choice A: "Yes, my apologies, I just lost myself in the moment." (leads to C-2aEXTRA) Choice B: scoff at her. (leads to C-2b)
(C-2aEXTRA) Witch: "Very well. Just mind your tongue and we'll have no quarrel." (leads to C-2a)
(C-2a) Satisfied, she brings her hands to her lap while slowly easing back into the couch, displaying a cool confidence as she does so.
Witch: "I was aware of your presence long before you arrived this evening, and I know you're here for a reason - you're seeking something. Now, I don't allow just anyone access to my home, but you, you piqued my interest. Coming to the Green at night, you're either incredibly brave, or incredibly stupid."
Witch: "So which is it?"
Choice A: Brave (leads to D-1a) Choice B: Stupid (leads to D-1b)
(C-2b) Witch: "I see... what a pity."
You suddenly awake, a sharp pain stabbing at your side and a general soreness all throughout your body. Rena stands over you, poking your cold naked body with a stick, clearly the source of the stabbing pain. The last thing you can recall from the night before, was the same muddy haze closing in on you, much as it did when the song invaded your brain. Whatever happened after that was simply lost in darkness.
Quickly covering yourself in embarrassment, you can now see cuts and scrapes covering your body, a few long thorns still stuck deep in your skin. Rena, decidedly worried about your condition, still manages to muster a small giggle and snort at your predicament.
Rena: "Cold down there?"
You nod, quickly looking about the area for your clothes. Unfortunately, they are not to be found. As you stand, Rena relaxes a bit to see that despite the cuts and bruises, you're okay. Seeing this, she happily starts chatting away, explaining how she found you.
Rena: "I'm usually the first one to arrive in the morning to get things set up for the day, and there you were. Just as naked as a newborn, laying unconscious on the ground. I sure hope you didn't spend the night out here. I already told you about the critters that run around out here at night."
Still blushing with embarrassment, you tell her you just had too much to drink last night and must have carelessly wandered out here, trying your best to make the excuse sound legitimate.
Rena: "Well, you certainly lucked out. Any number of beasts could have dragged you off in the night. If you need some clothes, which it looks like you do, you can find a spare jumpsuit in the shed over there."
She motions off to a small shed in the distance. Thanking her, you quickly run to the shed to find the clothing. After dressing, you thank Rena and return home, only to be greeted at the door by a tearful slave and (Main Assistant). You reassure them you're fine, letting them have their clearly prepared tirades about your safety. They ask what happened, to which you reply that you couldn't find what you were looking for. The Duke will be most disappointed.
"You've been robbed. X amount of gold has been lost, and your 'weapon' and 'armor' has been stolen!"
*Player will be robbed, losing an unspecified amount of money, and any weapons/armor currently equipped. Quest is failed at this point, with only a return visit to the Duke to inform him of the bad news.*
(D-1a) Witch: "Such courage!"
She laughs with contempt, slightly mocking you.
Witch: "Fair enough. I assume it does take some amount of bravery to test ones mettle against the dangers of the Green. Still, you never were truly in any danger, this I made sure of. As soon as you arrived to the Greens Edge this evening, my watchful eye was upon you, and I made certain as to ward off any... unsavory elements."
Witch: "This does not, of course, mean you won't have a chance to test your bravery. Which brings us to the question of 'why'? Why, young one, are you here?" (leads to D-1c)
(D-1b) She erupts into laughter, clearly amused with your candor.
Witch: "Honesty is such a rare trait. I must thank you for being so candid. You have yet to cease surprising me. Foolishness aside, you managed to get this far, so I wouldn't sell yourself short on your abilities. Now then, why have you placed yourself in such danger to visit the Green?" (leads to D-1c)
(D-1c) Choice A: I'm looking for someone. Chasing rumors of a powerful Alchemist that lives amongst the Green. (leads to E-1a) Choice B: I'm looking for someone, but that can wait as I wouldn't mind spending more time with you. (leads to E-1b)
(E-1a) Witch: "It seems this evening you're met with great fortune, as I am the one you seek. Flattered as I am that I am spoken of in the tones of hushed rumors, I am equally displeased that my presence is so well known outside the Green. It's been many years since I walked amongst the people of Magmell and to hear that they still speak of me is... unsettling."
Witch: "So why do you seek my presence, what is it you need?"
Knowing full well that any information revealed here this evening is unlikely to circulate its way back to town, you begin to explain the entirety of your situation, and the need of the two potions. She quietly listens, her steely gaze never leaving your face as you finish.
Witch: "I see. You poor mortals, subject to so many weaknesses. A common quandary, though, and one I can easily solve. Really, it's actually quite simple, a trifle for someone of my ability. The issue at hand, though, is what do I get out of this arrangement? What do you have to offer me?" (leads to F-1a)
(E-1b) Smiling, she reaches to her head and removes her hat, running a hand through her long locks.
Witch: "Flattery, will get you everywhere. I am pleased to hear you like what you see. Given time, I would like to act further on that, but you needn't rush. The night is still young. I'd like to hear more of this person you seek."
You explain your need of a great Alchemist that is rumored to live deep within the Green. By all accounts, your assumption is that this beautiful woman sitting before you is the person you seek, but it seems so odd that someone so powerful could look so young.
Still smiling at your blatant flattery, she listens intently as you explain. (loops back, leads to E-1a)
(F-1a) Choice A: Offer Gold. (leads to F-2a)-if choosing this option a second time, (leads to F-2extra) Choice B: Offer yourself. (leads to F-2b)-if choosing this option a second time, (leads to F-2extra) Choice C: Offer a slave. (leads to F-2c)
(F-2extra) Witch: "Please do not try my patience." (leads to F-1a)
(F-2a) Witch: "Now what use would I have for Gold? Look around you. Clearly I'm not left wanting for money, given that I can create what I need merely on a whim. Please, try again." (leads to F-1a)
(F-2b) Witch: "You gave up that bargaining chip the moment you entered my home, and with all this flattery, I'd already planned to have my way with you. I consider it a gift from you for all my generous hospitality. Please, try again." (leads to F-1a)
(F-2c) Witch: "Hmmm, now that wasn't a choice I was expecting. A slave..."
Witch: "It can get lonely out here, with only the Green, and little Roderick here as my companions. Having another soul with permanent residence would do well to occupy my time. Roderick is a wonderful companion, but he does lack in conversation."
To this she strokes her cat again, earning loud purring as her reward.
Witch: "Your request sounds reasonable, but not just any slave will do. I have refined tastes and won't allow just any loafer off the street you choose to bring me. I must also consider Roderick's feelings.
The last statement is met with a gruff meow from Roderick as if to voice his concerns. He stands a moment to arch his back, quickly returning to his former place on the couch, laying by his masters side.
Witch: "To that end, the slave must be trained as a house pet, if only to amuse Roderick when I am busy with my work. Also, musical talent is a given, as I would love someone to accompany my singing. In addition to you retrieving the ingredients I need to craft your potions, these are my terms."
You nod in agreement, stating that it will take time to train someone to meet her demands, but that the terms are acceptable. Her pleasure is evident on her face as she stands and begins to walk over to you.
Her eyes moving over you like hands, she begins to slowly remove the shoulder straps from her dress, pursing her lips her lips into a grin as she does so. You watch as it gently glides over her body, falling to rest on the ground below her. You can barely contain yourself as she brings a hand to the edge of her panties, moving gracefully as she removes them.
Witch: "Excellent. Now with that out of the way, what do you say we have a little fun? I'd hate to have you return home without a souvenir of your visit."

Happily wiping the sweat from her brow, she reaches down to collect her dress which she casually slips back on. Uttering a long breath of relief, she thanks you, moving to the edge of the room to pick up a small pad of paper and a pencil. You lay back on the couch, utterly drained as if she'd siphoned off a portion of your being, leaving you broken. A truly wondrous experience, and one you would soon not be forgetting. Having finished writing, she gracefully moves across the room to you, arm outstretched with the paper dangling in your face.
You take the paper, giving it a quick look over to see it's contents.
Witch: "These are the ingredients I will require to craft the brews. I'm sure some of the items can be found in town, while others will be decidedly more difficult to acquire. Do be careful, though. I'd hate to see you get injured, or worse, and not be able to return to me."
She winks at you, sweat still glistening on the exposed areas of her body.
Witch: "Take your time, there is no hurry, although I'm sure your benefactor would say otherwise. I will be here awaiting your return when you are ready. When you do decide to return, I will again make sure your passage is safe. A word of caution, though. You don't want to keep me waiting too long."
She expels a breathy laugh, leaning down to take your hand. Stuffing the paper in your pocket, you look up and your eyes meet her hungering gaze. You can almost feel the warmth of her voice wash over you, as she gently tells you to rest; to close your eyes and sleep.
Given your state of weariness at the nights events, it doesn't take long before you can no longer fight your struggling eye lids.
You awake suddenly, a sharp pain stabbing at your side and a general soreness all throughout your body. Rena stands over you, jamming a long stick into your side, clearly the source of the discomfort. The previous nights events had definitely taken a toll on you, and despite the soreness, you felt absolutely refreshed.
Rena: "Ummmm, whatcha doing down there?"
Stammering a reply, you tell her that you <i>were</i> sleeping. As you stand, Rena relaxes a bit to see that you're okay, although still confused at your presence. Still, it doesn't take long before she's happily chatting away, explaining how she found you.
Rena: "I'm usually the first one to arrive in the morning to get things set up for the day, and there you were. Just sprawled out, laying unconscious on the ground. I sure hope you didn't spend the night out here. I already told you about the critters that run around out here at night."
Blushing with embarrassment, you tell her you just had too much to drink last night and must have carelessly wandered out here, trying your best to make the excuse sound legitimate.
Rena: "Well, you certainly lucked out. Any number of beasts could have dragged you off in the night. In the future you might want to be a bit more careful, as I doubt you'll have the same luck twice."
Thanking her, you explain that you really must be going. You've yet to return home and you're expecting quite an earful from (MAIN ASSISTANT). She nods, laughing with a casual understanding. Walking you to the road, she wishes you the best of luck in dealing with (MAIN ASSISTANT), as she heads back to the encampment to ready herself for the days work.
Upon arriving home, as expected, you're greeted at the door by a tearful slave, with (Main Assistant) at her side. You reassure them both that you're fine, giving them a chance to voice their clearly prepared tirades about your safety, and how worried they were. They ask what happened, to which you smile. Removing the paper from your pocket, you happily wave it in their faces, telling them you found what you were looking for. Not wanting to reveal any further information, you move past them to your room where you fall into bed, burying your face in a pillow before deeply falling asleep.

Just a quick tip that may or may not help you in future quest writing, is that whenever you have a lot of choices or branches, I like to actually draw out the dialogue trees using similar syntax that you are.
For example, as soon as you hit a branching path, draw out the lines for as many choices you want to have. This way you can keep track of what still needs to be covered and serves as a check list for how far you've gotten and what's left.
I'll edit this post once I've completely read through this section with any questions or concerns.
Edit: no concerns here other than minor spelling/punctuation checks. MOAR! XP

Ya, seeing what Doc did on the quest he's writing now with the drawn out flowchart would probably do wonders to help me keep track of things. Sad fact is, I'm kind of lazy and stuck in my ways, so while I may bitch about it, I'll probably still end up with my head in my hands trying to figure out how the story should flow instead of making my life easier.
If you see any punctuation errors, please feel free to point them out. By no means am I master of English (even though it's my native tongue), and I know I'm constantly putting comma's in the wrong place. I also rarely use semi-colons even though they'd probably end up making sentences flow better.
As for spelling, I use the spell checker on the site here and it seems to work well. I did catch myself a few times writing "With" instead of "Witch" (which I'm pretty sure I caught all of 'em), so things like that are entirely in the realm of possibility of popping up. If you see anything like that again, please let me know so I can fix it.
