Gonna apologize again.. this is new to me. Daisy Hmm... I was getting method not allowed with the command line version as well. Let me try a couple of tests. Maybe sourceforge would be a good idea after all [edit] OK, I just created test.txt in the trunk, added it to svn, committed the change, modified and it and committed again. No errors. Did you check the code out using the developer access url - you'll have been prompted for your special googlecode password if so. Log into google and look at code.google.com/p/otherworldtoday/source/checkout

Are you using TortoiseSVN? What did you checkout? --- --- The first image is what mine looks like, after checking out using the link: otherworldtoday.googlecode.com/svn/--- --- The second image is what googlecode's page should look like. --- I guess I'll just make an entire picture tutorial.

Inputing username and password occurs when you commit. One thing you can do is Right Click anywhere in a folder-> TortoiseSVN -> Settings -> Click the "Saved Data" -> Hit the "Clear" Button next to "authentication data" to reset info.
Make folders in branch so you can play around with SVN easier. Once you're more comfortable you could start directly uploading to trunk.
Doc should we set up sourceforge for daisy or let daisy set it up? We can keep using googlecode as a test server to get daisy familiar with the procedures. --- Edit Okay I'll start doing a write-up on the basic procedures using tortoise's GUI (collecting screenshots atm). Doc if you could take screenshots of the merge procedure that would great.

OK. They've got the green ticks, so it looks like they're checked out properly.
Double click trunk and then otherworld and you should see the source files.
Copy the new file over the one in trunk/otherworld, right click and commit. We'll see where that gets us.

Just a thought, but maybe instead of using the forum thread, we could be using chat (irc, skype, etc.) instead so we can get this kind of stuff real time. Post the chat log later on for archive/reference.

Can do. Irc or google chat is easiest for me. I think I've forgotten my MSN password it's been that long.

it doesn't even give me the chance to clear the saved data. Also mirc works for me. Daisy Attachments:

it doesn't even give me the chance to clear the saved data. You shouldn't need to do that. I don't think I've ever seen that screen before in my life. Let me boot into windows and I'll get on IRC

OK - I'm on freenode.net - channel #otherworld_game
There's already an otherworld channel. It's deserted so we could probably use that, but it's simple enough to create our own chan

So the girls weren't added? Really trunk should not be constantly modified, which is why a lot of people were suggesting maintaining branches until you think you're rdy for a "release," in which case you'd want to merger your branch back into trunk.

The overall size limit by googlecode is going to be a problem if we have too many branches, which is why we may move the SVN to different host (say sourceforge). I'd also like to emphasize in the meantime we really need to restrict the SVN to source code only, and keep compiled files (such as swfs) out of the SVN to keep it as lean as possible.
